Today's Modern Home of the Day started out as an East Side church in Austin and is now a gorgeous single-story 3 bedroom home. From the listing agent: "Originally a church by the name of El Sendero de la Cruz (“The Path of the Cross”), this immaculately repurposed dwelling was built in 1935 & has since been taken down to the studs & lovingly reconfigured to create an artful masterpiece."

There's even an ADU located behind the home you can buy for guests or to rent out on AirBNB which we hear do VERY well in Austin, the live music capital of the world!  What do you think? Tell us in the comments.

We are in love with those high cathedral ceilings and that kitchen with the amazing hood vent. That's a work of art in itself! Notice the cool features like the stamped words on the reclaimed wood from the church used in the kitchen. Nice touch!

We are also loving the Saltillo and clay tile wall and freestanding tub in the master bath. That combined with those modern mirrors and lighting are a perfect blend of the old and the new.
