Hello! I'm Brian Enright, and I have two loves when it comes to residential real estate: high-rise condos and modern homes.

In 1997 I was searching for a high-rise condo in Dallas and couldn't find a website that would just show me available high-rise condos for sale. I had to wade through the hundreds of condo listings trying to find the ones that were in high-rises. So I bought the domain Highrises.com from Internic with the idea that one day I would build a site that just showed high-rise condos for sale and agents who specialized in that niche. The domain was just sitting there... can you imagine what other domains were unregistered at the time? 

I went on to build Highrises.com as a site that featured high-rise condo towers and their available inventory in nearly 40 cities across the country. It was a blast and I learned a lot about the industry while helping connect buyers and sellers with high-rise specialists. That site was acquired in 2021 so I turned to my next love - Modern Homes.

I wanted to learn as much as I could about modern architecture and the architects that built the movement. Since I build websites, I acquired the domain ModernHomes.com and decided to chronicle the journey here and share what I'm learning. I decided to launch the site in Portland, Oregon, because of its rich history in Mid-Century Modern, Contemporary and NW Contemporary architecture. I lived in Portland for a few years and it got into my soul and never left. If you've loved living there you know the feeling. I go back for work regularly too, so that fact combined with its amazing architecture made it the logical choice.
